Established in 1948, Preconomy is well known within the industry as a respected mould and die manufacturer. This has been achieved through continued investment in engineering technology and production techniques, together with its highly skilled and motivated workforce.
Manufacturing takes place on a 24hr, seven days a week basis, allowing customers the advantage of fast tooling lead times. In the global marketplace Preconomy prides itself in giving individual service, together with competitive prices and lead times, whilst delivering high standards of quality.
Preconomy has continued to invest and expand its production capabilities, with the purchase of additional milling machines, spark & wire eroders, Alpha 300 laser welder and more recently, a 5 Axis machine. This follows a move to a larger production facility in June 2015 at Crown Farm Industrial Estate in Mansfield, with 24,000 sq ft of floor space, together with an additional storage facility of 5,000 sq feet. The site has excellent transport links with the A1 and M1.
Whilst focusing on its core business, Preconomy has also been expanding its service side of the business and in particular its mobile services, which are available nationwide and across Europe. This includes laser welding, toolmaker support, onsite inspection, reverse engineering, together with project management and CAD design and support.
